The Idols sing songs from the year they were born when they take the stage LIVE on Idol tomorrow night. I’ve whipped up a list of what I think the Idols should sing check it out after the jump.
I’ve got my list, now what’s yours?
- Casey Abrams – 1991 – “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak – SEXY
- Haley Reinhart – 1991 – “More Than Words” by Extreme – This popular ballad would give Haley a chance to show off her big vocals.
- Jacob Lusk – 1987 – “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2 – Don’t oversing it Jacob, and you could have a moment.
- James Durbin – 1989 – “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns and Roses
- Karen Rodriguez – 1989 – “Don’t Wanna Lose You” by Gloria
Estefan (probably what she’ll pick.) - Lauren Alaina – 1994 – “I’m That Kind of Girl” by Patty Loveless – A fun, upbeat song for Lauren. She needs to bring some verve to her performance this week, however.
- Naima Adedapo – 1984 – “Against All Odds” NOOOO – “Purple Rain” by Prince
- Paul McDonald – 1984 -”Long Hard Road” – The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band – I had a hard time picking a song for Paul. Huey Lewis and the News? Please no. I’d rather hear Paul sing some country.
- Pia Toscano – 1988 – “Sweet Child o Mine” by Guns & Roses – I know she’s going to pick some Whitney or Taylor Dayne sh*t, but one can hope.
- Scotty McCreery - 1993 – I don’t know ANY country songs from 1993. Do the Crash Test Dummies count? If so, Scotty could sing “Hmmm mmm mmm”
- Stefano Langone – 1989 – “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” by Simply Red. Niiiice.
- Thia Megia – 1995 – “Fake Plastic Trees” by Radiohead. Thia has covered Radiohead on You Tube, so I’m going to keep suggesting it until it happens. Or she gets eliminated (I think the latter will likely happen first.)
